The Junior High Student Council is comprised of CMCA students in Grades 7 and 8, elected by their peers early in the school year. The Council includes four officer positions (President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer) and one homeroom representative for each of the students' homerooms. Junior High School faculty member Mrs. Jamie Vanderput serves as the staff advisor to the Junior High Student Council.
The focus of the Council is:
- To foster a spirit of cooperation among students and faculty
- To promote and encourage activities for the best interest of the school
- To develop good citizens and leaders through experience in government
- To provide a means for student expression
- To encourage student involvement
- To promote school spirit
- To represent and make decisions on behalf of the interest of the student body
The Council discusses many issues throughout the school year and supports exciting student projects and initiatives, such as Jr. High dances (Halloween, Christmas, and Valentines Day), a Thanksgiving canned food drive and Thursday morning donut and hot cocoa sales as fundraisers. Meetings are held regularly, and information is communicated to each of the homerooms and throughout the student body. The student body, in turn, has the opportunity to exchange ideas and offer suggestions through their homeroom representatives, to foster a healthy and productive dialogue which benefits the entire Junior High School program.

Upcoming Junior High "Jeans and Hoodie" Days (Posted: February 6, 2012)

Junior High students are authorized to wear jeans, a hoodie (sweatshirt) or a combination of both on designated days througout the year.
Costs (paid to homeroom teacher):
- $1.00 for each article in advance
- $1.50 for each article on the actual day
**Uniform shirts MUST be worn under hoodies and must be tucked in according to uniform policy guidelines.

Donut and Hot Cocoa Sales Continue Each Thursday! (Posted: October 13, 2011)
Add something special to the cool, crisp mornings with delicious refreshments as this annual tradition continues! Each Thursday morning, from 7:10-7:40 AM, Junior High Student Council representatives offer a variety of fresh donuts and pastries along with steaming hot cocoa. Sales tables will be set up in the courtyard area between Buldings "A" and "B" at the Corona campus. Items are sold at just $1.00 each, or $1.50 for a donut and cocoa purchased together, with proceeds supporting many junior high activities throughout the year.
